Our Leaders

Our Leaders

At Corpus Christi, we believe in empowering students to become confident, compassionate, and capable leaders. Our student leadership programs provide opportunities for students from Year 8 to Year 12 to actively contribute to the life of Corpus Christi while developing their leadership skills.

SRC Leadership

Starting from Year 8 until Year 11, students can represent their peers through the Student Representative Council (SRC), with one representative per house (Chisholm, Davis, Ingham, Deane), per year group. In addition, each year group has a Year Group Captain who works closely with their cohort and supports the SRC House Leaders.

Each SRC member is linked to a specific leadership portfolio: Faith & Mission, Peer Support & Wellbeing, Hospitality & Inclusion, Sport, or Learning & Innovation. These portfolios allow students to lead initiatives, support their peers, and make a meaningful impact in the Corpus Christi Community.

Year 12 Leadership

Our Senior Leadership program begins in Year 11, where all students participate in a formal Leadership Development Day. This program and process helps prepare students for leadership roles in Year 12, where students can be selected as School Captain, Vice Captain, or a House Captain (Chisholm, Davis, Ingham, Deane). Each Captain is linked with a leadership portfolio to focus on in their leadership. These leaders serve as role models and play a key role in shaping the culture of Corpus Christi.

Our leadership programs reflect our commitment to nurturing student voice, responsibility, and service preparing our young people to be leaders both within and beyond the school gates.

Youth Ministry Leaders

Our Youth Ministry Leaders play a vital role in nurturing the spiritual life of our school community. These leaders are announced each year and are open to all students who have a passion for faith and service. These leaders help organise and lead liturgies, prayer services, engage in social justice work and any faith-based events throughout the year.

They work closely with the Faith & Mission portfolio in student leadership, supporting initiatives that encourage reflection, compassion and social justice. Youth Ministry Leaders are also key figures in promoting the values of our Catholic tradition at Corpus Christi and fostering a welcoming, inclusive environment where all students feel supported in their faith journey.

Through their service, Youth Ministry Leaders grow in leadership, deepen their own faith, and inspire others in our community to live out the Gospel in everyday life.

Social Justice

At Corpus Christi, social justice is central to our identity as a Catholic Learning community. Inspired by the Gospel and the life of Jesus, we are called to recognise the dignity of every person, respond to the needs of the marginalised and work together to build a more compassionate community.

Our social justice leaders work alongside staff and community partners to raise awareness about key social issues and lead initiatives for those in need, both locally and globally. Whether coordinating the Winter Appeal , running fund raising events for Project Compassion, our social justice leaders model what it is to live out our school values of Presence, Humility, Courage and Service. Through their leadership, students work with the wider school community to see faith as action and to be a voice to the voiceless in our community.
