Ms Gleeson & Mr Lappan took 20 lucky Elective Music Students to Sydney on Friday to see the first Sydney Symphony Orchestra's Meet the Music Concert for 2023.🎺🎸🎹🎼
Australian Pianist Simon Tedeschi expertly executed Gershwin's 'Rhapsody in Blue'. The musical suites of 'Westside Story' rang through the Concert Hall & Paul-Antoni Bonetti's (Australian Composer) 'The Bright Day Clarion Calls the Quaking Earth' premiered for the very first time.
It was one of the most phenomenal works any of us has ever seen or heard, completely mesmerising & a crowd favourite!

World Harmony Day - Tuesday 21st March
The Year 12 leaders wanted to recognise World Harmony day this year in a big way.
This year's theme is that everyone belongs.
It will be a mufti day- with the theme being Orange or Cultural Colours- this will be a gold coin donation going to project compassion & the Year 12 gift (50:50).
Year 12 are organising a bake sale to happen at lunchtime & they would love some baked donations. Home baked or bought is fine, they just need a list of ingredients attached to the container.
These will be collected in the Foyer before school/ LC.
Lunchtime Activities:
Cultural games house competition on the basketball courts 🪃🏓🥎🎯
Drumming circle 🥁🪘
Rock painting for the indigenous garden 🦎🌻🪨
Live music 🪘🎺🪕

Today 34 of our students represented Corpus Christi at the Diocesan Swimming Carnival at Corrimal Pools. 🏊🏊‍♂️
We placed 2nd 🥈, only missing out on 1st place by 6 points.
Special shout out to Charlee Mackiewicz for being the U12 girls age champion. 👏👏

A great turn out by Yr7-12 girls at the Girls Fitness Club on Wednesday morning. Miss Cleal was very excited and proud of all the girls who put in 100% effort for the whole session. Great work girls!
Girls Fitness meets at the back basketball courts at 8am every Wednesday. Everyone is welcome to along! Incentive excursions on offer for those who regularly attend.
